There were 57,500,000 US dollar millionaires worldwide as of 31 December 2025, according to UBS's Global Wealth Report 2026. That count covers adults with a net worth of at least USD 1 million across 56 markets that UBS estimates hold over 92 per cent of world wealth.
The number rose by 1.5 per cent in 2025, adding nearly one million new millionaires, or more than 2,600 per day. Other publishers count millionaires using different definitions, so their figures differ and must never be added or averaged. Capgemini counted 25,300,000 people worldwide with at least USD 1 million in investable assets as of 31 December 2025. Knight Frank counted 713,626 people with net worth of at least US$30 million as of 23 April 2026. Henley & Partners counted 135,694 crypto millionaires holding USD 1 million or more in digital assets as of 8 September 2026.

What this page measures
This page tracks how many millionaires there are in the world, using figures from four publishers that each apply a different definition. UBS counts adults whose net worth (financial assets plus real assets such as housing, including private pension assets, minus debts) is at least USD 1 million. Capgemini counts high-net-worth individuals with at least USD 1 million in investable assets, excluding their main home, collectibles, consumables and consumer durables. Knight Frank counts people with net worth of at least US$30 million. Henley & Partners counts residents with at least USD 1 million in liquid investable wealth (listed shares, cash, bonds and crypto, with property excluded). Because the definitions differ, the counts differ and must be quoted separately, never added or averaged. Always name the publisher next to each figure.
The headline numbers
UBS counted 57,500,000 US dollar millionaires worldwide as of 31 December 2025. The number rose by 1.5 per cent in 2025, adding nearly one million new millionaires, or more than 2,600 per day as of 31 December 2025.
Capgemini counted 25,300,000 people worldwide with at least USD 1 million in investable assets as of 31 December 2025. That figure is less than half the UBS count because Capgemini excludes the main home, collectibles, consumables and consumer durables. The same report counted roughly 250,000 people worldwide with at least USD 30 million in investable assets as of 31 December 2025, up 9.4 per cent in 2025. The 25,300,000 high-net-worth individuals held 98.3 trillion US dollars of investable wealth as of 31 December 2025, up 8.7 per cent in 2025.
Knight Frank counted 713,626 people worldwide with net worth of at least US$30 million as of 23 April 2026, up from 551,435 in 2021. The same publisher counted 3,110 billionaires worldwide as of 23 April 2026.
Henley & Partners counted 135,694 crypto millionaires worldwide holding USD 1 million or more in digital assets as of 8 September 2026. That is a separate, narrower measure, not a subset of the UBS count.
